Illinois Morels - May 9, 2009 - N IL - Hands down my best hunt ever! Me ‘n Patrick were pickin’ and grinin’ the whole day. Lots of awesome puker trees and solid patches. Thought I had died and gone to heaven. Thanks again Patrick! 26 pounds!!! Booyah!

Illinois Morels - April 21, 2009 - SW IL - Another great day, I had to go back and was glad I did. Probably my best 2-day hunt ever! Picked these big ones and 150+ more, about 5 pounds, mostly Yellows.

Illinois Morels - April 20, 2009 - SW IL - An awesome day in the woods! Tons of clusters and puker trees. All of the bigfoots came from one tree, I couldn’t believe my eyes! Found a really nice patch of Blacks too. 186 total, 6.5 pounds.

Illinois Morels - April 30, 2009 - I’ve got 343 morels so far since April 25th. Most of them are grays and recently some tans. I’ve also found 34 pecker heads. I am shocked reading the Illinois Message Board the no one from my neck of the woods has reported anything. Illinois Morel - April 23, 2009 - Took this today with my cell phone. It was the same place I hunted yesterday and can say this “popped” up today because it wasn’t there yesterday. Illinois Morels - April 12, 2009 - Found 182 blacks on 4/12/09 in Hamilton County near cottonwood trees along a creek bottom. A lot of them had been up a couple of days.

4.19.08 - 276 morels - A great day in the ash grove w/ my buddy iPanic2Mark!

4.22.08 - 300 morels - My best hunt ever, picked these super fresh blacks, half-frees, and greys by myself in the ash grove.

4.26.08 - 354 morels - A slow morning, but it got hot when we switched spots, and the greys and half-frees were in abundance! That’s me on the right, with iPanic2Mark in the middle, his dog Toobah, and his buddy Ted (his first real morel hunt!) in Central IL.

5.1.08 - 75 morels - Found these during break at work! Most were growing along the banks of a ditch, under large silver maples. That big one on top was over 7″.

5.3.08 - 150 morels - A morning hunt’s worth found during an awesome camping trip. I went out that evening and found another huge bag full, probably 5+ lbs, mostly under hard maples! I found 85 the day before in just an hour. Over 1000 were found during this 3 day trip between all of us!
