These were found near Steelville Missouri. We scored these on April 10th this year. A few more larger ones were out today, April 19th. Also collected a couple black ones. Will send more photos as time allows. - Clyde Gill

Missouri Morels - April 15, 2009 - It was about 2 PM, April 15, 2009, 5 miles outside of Branson, Missouri. I was cutting through a clump of cedars to get to a big ash tree (I usually never give cedar trees a hard look. Mostly, I just keep an eye out so I don’t walk face first into them!), and there they were, two nice morels about 5 inches from the trunk of this big cedar. I never hear about folks around here finding morels under cedars, but from now on I’m checking them out too! - Marty (martym)

Missouri Morels - April 4, 2009 - Found yellows and grays in Branson this morning, 32 in all. Looks like they are just starting. Size was from 1 to 3 inches. Since this was our first find for the year we picked everything. Usually we leave the smaller ones for later. - Marty (martym)
