April 16. We found 18 yellows in Tuxedo. Most were in twos and threes under pines. Poplars were near. Saundra and Molly

    Becki,
    There is a false morel but it isn’t honeycombed. Yours are probably edible but show them to someone who knows about morels.

    I was shocked to find morels in my yard today, (4/18)– or at least what look like morels. I didn’t know they grew in MD. They look like the yellows you found. Could they be anything else, ie, anything inedible?
