Missouri Morels - April 15, 2009 - It was about 2 PM, April 15, 2009, 5 miles outside of Branson, Missouri. I was cutting through a clump of cedars to get to a big ash tree (I usually never give cedar trees a hard look. Mostly, I just keep an eye out so I don’t walk face first into them!), and there they were, two nice morels about 5 inches from the trunk of this big cedar. I never hear about folks around here finding morels under cedars, but from now on I’m checking them out too! - Marty (martym)

Iknow what you mean! Sitting with a bud turkey and he said he was going behind us under nothing but cedars to look for shrooms. I told him nothing groes under cedars, he turned around and said lookie here. End of storie.
