    april 25 2010-found three small yellows today out back in my woods in mansfield ohio, never thought id find some but finally did, going out after rain lets up to hunt for more..

    Woo Hoo!! found 5 nice yellow morels this am. finially! Southwest Ohio. They aren’t up good yet. Still hope to find more! Happy Hunting!

    went out 4-14 and found 9 greys and 1 yellow but left 3 of the greys due to the size and also left the roots to produce the rest of the season and hopefully next year. it jst seems to early.

    Found 9 very small grays here in Luckey, Ohio over the last 2 weeks. Warm enough but not enough rain!! Asparagus should be popping along the ditch banks soon also….

    Been out 3 times this year, I have found about 50 Blacks and I have about 20 yellows that are very small and 2 grays that I have found and left to grow under old apple trees half dead but still blooming. PLEASE LET IT RAIN.. FOLLOWED BY WARM WEATHER.. WE NEED SOME RAIN TO GET THEM POPPEN!!

    I went hunting like 5 times in the past week
    I havent found any thing I live in madison county go up to realy thick woods search for about two to three hours each time I go looking and go about 11am to 1 or 2

    found 60 black morels over the past 3 days, just fried them up last night so slammin’. My baby will be 3 in August so he has been going with me. So can’t go all my spots so 20 here and 20 there, that works for me. Good luck.

    Been out twicw havent found a darn thing in greene county ! whats going on i know its early but weather says they should be up so ill keep looking ! i usally have found something by this time !

    I used to live in Hocking Hills out by Tar Hollow and Old mans caves well not a year went by i did not bring in 10-15 lbs and man I loved them I would go find them and my dad would cook them,that was in the late 70s early 80s I could sale 1 lb of fresh ones for 6- 11.00 a lb/

    Hello fellow hunters found me a few lil blacks in lebanon/ oregonia ohio, also found a couple dried up blacks, got dicouraged for a min then found some freshies, thank the morel gods the season is still young in my zones… happy hunting!!

    Well it’s warming up again and this time I think we will be getting them! It’s supposed to get up to 80 degrees today and then this weekend if it stays nice I’m guessing we will be in for a real treat! Mmmm cant wait to roll them in some crushed Ritz crackers and fry them in butter and/or olive oil yum!

    Oh boy… my itch has started. My mom always said that after a year in which we had a lot of snow, there were always a lot of mushrooms. This year should be fantastic.
