Hey guys, I’m glad someone is haveing some luck, here in West Central Ohio I have been out and not found a thing. I think it’s been to cold at night yet over here. If anyone has any tips on where to hunt over here in the bellefontaine/columbus areas please feel free to let me know. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Brian is right on, those are Morchella Esculenta…Yellows are Morchella Deliciosa; and yellows mark the end of the season not the beginning as Bryan correctly stated. Yellows are all yellow, and have no darkness between the ribs when young. The other common early morel are the blacks — Morchella Elata. All are found in MI where I’m at and Ohio too. I’m still waiting, just a bit early for mid-Michigan.

its your story, ive been hyunting morels for 44 years now and left plenty of mushrooms to grow, with no results. so if you think so,thats cool too.
