
Michigan Morels - May 12, 2010 - These were found under two dead elms that were right next to one another. I would estimate that there were about 150-200 morels under these trees. This pic is only a small section of the whole area, so you can imagine what the scene looked like! It was awesome! Biker Dave, and Dave in Commerce, these were found in central Oakland County on May 12. Quite a few of them had significant slug damage and were not harvested. All were pretty dirty from the recent rains splashing dirt on them but overall, they were in pretty good shape. Total yearly count around 600+. - bung23

BEAUTIFUL, THEY LIKE DEAD APPLE TREES ALSO. MY HUSBAND AND I MADE THE TRIP EVERY MAY FROM INDIANA. HE;S DEAD NOW AND I SURE MISS THEM HUNTS. I’M 4FEET AND 10 INCHES AND HE ALWAYS SAID I WAS HIS MUSHROOM SCOUT, HE WAS 6 FOOT 1.
