Ohio Morel - May 17, 2010 - This sucker was a whopping 13 inches, and had a bend in the stem, thought false at first but it is hallow and is 100% real morel… In picture is Aaron Sours of Clyde Ohio, morel was found in Fremont OH, on 5/17/2010, out in the pouring rain.. what is ohio’s largest morel? ever and for this year?

    Still showing in northern ohio, I heard till first second week of june or 3 85 degree days.. we have had rain and decent weather for mushrooms.

    Geez-I have had no luck in Ohio this year for finding Morels. I found 6 darks and 3 yellows this year. It was the worst year yet. I can’t believe you are still finding them this time of year. I see an OSU shirt in the pic. I am a HUGE OSU fan! We have season tickets. I would love to know where to hunt in Ohio. I am originally from Indiana and only know where the good spots are back home.
