Very nice. I am from NY and trying to start morel hunting. I walked the woods last year and didn’t find anything. Any tips for a newbie?

@daisey3232 My best advice for a new hunter is to go middle to late of the season. The mushrooms will be easier to see and will help you learn what trees are associated with them. I also always go late when it’s almost over too. A spot of dead ones will be next years honey hole.

@jslwalls do look more in woods with dead trees and light can get threw? More of a damp part of the woods? Thank you for the help
