Vern, I honestly can only point you to public land nearby me. I am mostly a semi-urban opportunist hunter. My two biggest finds this year were in small wooded lots in neighborhoods! The pics from today were practically in someone’s backyard!
Walking big woods is a crapshoot if you don’t know where the tight trees are. The parks I named are big parks in northern and western metro Detroit. Kensington looks great...
You can take I-96 west to north on Milford Road. Entrance to Kensington Metropark about a mile or two up on the left- just past Dairy Queen.
