Hello, we are from NW Ohio and we are wondering if anyone has found morels in the Hocking Hills area?

    Awesome. Good eye.

Hocking Hills in Ohio? If so, no it’s still going to be a bit.

Well, today was officially my first time to hunt morels. I found a case pocket knife instead:). I bought a meat thermometer(don't see any reason why that wouldn't work do ya'll?) in town, it registered about 60 degrees at the location but online it's saying that I past 5 day average soil temp is only 46. I was trying to find tulip poplars and elm but I'm going to have to work harder on learning to identify them. Probably would have helped to have been on a south facing slope too, I'll get there! Going on a hike tomorrow with a foraging group in Huntsville, we mostly forage for wild medicinal and edible plants but mushrooms are included.

Checked another spot but it’s 5 feet under water because the river has flooded a wee bit. Curious to see if they will fruit when the water recedes.

I’m gonna wait until next weekend before any harvesting.

newtimmy - What I did to get 'em loaded the last several days: have the jpg picture file showing on windows file explorer, do a mouse right click & copy; move to my open post on Morels.com and , left click to activate the cursor within the post, do a right click & paste.

Sometimes it has inserted the picture and just last, it inserted link to be clicked to open the picture.
I want to see your pics, too!
