Picked 10 or so today, all pretty big, had to leave about 6 behind that were tfg... man, it's still a crap feeling when you find a potential nice cluster that's too old, even on a great year like this....
But something told me to keep going today, even though I knew my path was only getting more out into the open thus only yielding more and more rotten ones... but I followed my gut, and it payed off BIGTIME. Not shroomage tho... something I've been wanting to find for a VERY long time...

I came out of the bushes and it was just there, looking right at me. Bout scared me to death...

Didnt have nearly a scratch on it.
It will hang in my Barbershop until I look the same.

Talk about first world problems - having to pick all the morels in your backyard! haha

A friend found these today while riding a 4 wheeler through her woods in Miami County. They were in a river bottom, but she didn't say what kind of trees they were under. My guess based on where they were found would be sycamore. I'm glad that most on here are having a having a good year. Mine, not so good, but I continue to cheer everyone on. 59972427_10211333154045218_668269904503242752_n.jpg

Found 9 in about 2 hours at pokagon today. All really fresh. Found 2 in and open area with no trees near at all. They did have a controlled burn in part of the park in early spring where I found those 2. Seems like the weekend, or early next week should be great.
