A few are up in the bluffs near Vicksburg. They’re later than is typical. These were photographed yesterday. My earliest spot hasn’t produced at all.

Temps are stabilizing and we’ve had some rain at last, so yes, the weather gods are finally smiling at us, if but for a moment.

Yes it was an Enjoyable Hunt.. All of those came from "Copperhead Quarters" and "Big Beaver"
Been hunting these and other nearby spots for 57 years still finding Morels year after year

Hey everyone, down here on the coast looking forward to finding Morels in the new year! I remember seeing them as a kid so I know they can occur down here but not sure where the best place to look would be? Maybe around the Desoto Nat. Forest? What's the farthest south report known in the state? TIA and happy hunting for this upcoming season!
