Wow, thanks for the report glassman! That excites me about the redbuds. I’m north of you in Crawford county so I’ll be on the lookout

Went for a good walk today. From 700’ up to 1600’ elevation. No sign of red buds, no sign of mayapples, no asparagus. Still way too early here in NW Arkansas

What a difference a couple days makes. This morning I went out and saw some asparagus up in the garden. Red buds just starting to open. And now we have cooler weather coming in for the next few weeks, especially the night time lows. Still way better than excessive heat. Cool temps and plenty of rain should be setting us up for a bumper crop. Fingers crossed

I can almost hear the morels growing. Mayapples are coming up and these warm nights with periods of rain are getting us close to where we want to be

This dry weather has made for one of my worst seasons ever
