I'm Ready Ready Ready to Go Man Go..
And I know Yall are also just as Anxious..

Yep all kinds of Creatures, Fun and Fungi
Out there, We will Gently☯ Peacefully☮ and ❤ Lovingly ❤ Join in with them for the Beautiful Awesome and Amazing Event of Spring. 🌞✨🌦⛄☔🇺🇲💫🌎🌷🍄🌱
And as we Enjoy Every Moment, We are also gonna be finding Our Morels 🍄🌦🍄🍄🍄🍄🌦🍄🍄🍄🍄🌦🍄🍄🍄🍄
🤠 This Will Be My 57th Season of Hunting the Same Areas that My Dad first Carried Me into..when I was only 2 yrs old in 1965
I'm Not Studied up on all the New Sience that is Available in Our Age of Online..
I Just "Love the Hunt" and I Still Find Morels Almost every time I go, sometimes a few Sometimes a lot.. it is very Exciting to find a bunch like 50, 100 or 300..
But I believe we will all agree 👍🏻 💯
It's the "Love of the Hunt" and just being in the woods is Always Our Heart ❤
🤠 I hope this year as we all find Our way on down the trail together on Here..
That we will make time to take some Pictures of Cool, interesting things we see along the Way,
Maybe like a beautiful sunrise as you begin your hunt in the morning.. then pics of Morels Growing...
and when you find yourself looking face to face with a perfect Example for a 🌳 Tree Identification 🌳 please take some pictures and share them with All of us...
🌲 and just as well if you find a Tree you are Not Sure of ..share some good pics of it and we can All help to identify what it is.🌲
🍄 Also when Our Morels are done, STAY IN THE WOODS..We will Continue finding Many Other types of Edible Fungi 🍄 all Summer and Fall into Winter ....

Short stroll through Morgan Monroe this beautiful spring morning. not much greenery at all. Found these Devils urns.

I usually don't get too excited until they turn black.Checked around my normal Pignut tree and lon and behold , fresh as a daisy Black morel.

Posted it last April 12 I believe. Almost 3 weeks earlier this year. Hopefully my season will be over before I have to worry bout turkey hunters! I took pics of the difference between Pignut Hickory and Shagbark Hickory If anyone is interested. They are coming to a woods near you. Get out and enjoy

Went out for a couple hours in northern Tippecanoe county. No morels found. Hit a woods I've never hunted, and followed that up with one that always delivers "some". I've never hunted this early, just following the reports on forums and figured I better go take a look. Forest floor up here is basically just dead leaves still. Teeny tiny ramps just barely starting to peek out. I've got some places close to my house that I'm sure I'll take a few quick trips after work a few days this week, just in case. Absolutely beautiful day today ~ felt great to get out there shrooms or not.

(Northern ohio) Went out today expecting to find nothing and that’s exactly what I did😏. My first ever March Morel! Usually find them first week of April in this spot. First found 7 blacks last year 4-10-22. Picked 8 today 3-26-23. So about two weeks ahead of schedule. Ground temps 39-41. Seen over 20 will go back in few days to round up some more. Picked these 8 for a meal. Mayapples barely up 1” or less. Ramps 3-4” at most. Woods hardly greened up at all. It begins!

So much Rain 🌧 and it's Good👍🏻🤠
Now if we keep getting it,
or Even some small showers...🌧
🍄 2 or 3 times each week, will be Good..
As for Now..
Sure is looking Good for Moisture ..
And we get more Reports of Morels being found Every day

Well, I have been telling myself to be patient, but with your pics and reporting from N. Ohio, patience has left the building. Will try to get out by March 31st, maybe find my first March Morel. Thanks for the info.
