And as we Enjoy Every Moment, We are also gonna be finding Our Morels 🍄🌦🍄🍄🍄🍄🌦🍄🍄🍄🍄🌦🍄🍄🍄🍄
🤠 This Will Be My 57th Season of Hunting the Same Areas that My Dad first Carried Me into..when I was only 2 yrs old in 1965
I'm Not Studied up on all the New Sience that is Available in Our Age of Online..
I Just "Love the Hunt" and I Still Find Morels Almost every time I go, sometimes a few Sometimes a lot.. it is very Exciting to find a bunch like 50, 100 or 300..
But I believe we will all agree 👍🏻 💯
It's the "Love of the Hunt" and just being in the woods is Always Our Heart ❤
🤠 I hope this year as we all find Our way on down the trail together on Here..
That we will make time to take some Pictures of Cool, interesting things we see along the Way,
Maybe like a beautiful sunrise as you begin your hunt in the morning.. then pics of Morels Growing...
and when you find yourself looking face to face with a perfect Example for a 🌳 Tree Identification 🌳 please take some pictures and share them with All of us...
🌲 and just as well if you find a Tree you are Not Sure of ..share some good pics of it and we can All help to identify what it is.🌲
🍄 Also when Our Morels are done, STAY IN THE WOODS..We will Continue finding Many Other types of Edible Fungi 🍄 all Summer and Fall into Winter ....

I'm in the market for a "treehugger" myself since the frame rotted out on my old pickup. Just found a good looking 2011 Ford Ranger at a nearby lot, and will go Monday to check it out.

Yup bout ready just waiting for that right moment n day. Been raining all day n about 7 turned to snow n got alot colder out. Seems like Fridays are the days it turns cold n crappy out.

Definitely out here in Central Indiana. Friend had an infant tick stuck to his arm after shed hunting. Grrrr!

Man those look nice! Went for a fitness check on a logging road in MM this afternoon. Man I'm out of shape. Didn't get off the road far. this is all i was able to find. Think that is a Jack in the pulpit emerging. Turkeys always seem to like to scratch around them. Looks like Jelly ear . Not sure of the tiny other ones. Still a wonderful afternoon outdoors. It's coming

Whats up everyone, want a opinion from other hunters. A buddy wants to go to southern KY this weekend and walk around Mammoth Cave park area. Its a 3 hr drive from Indy. That im not worried about, do you think it will be a total bust and be early? We are wanting to try something different this year and have never been to this park. Im south side of Indy and I know the city is different in a such but I'm seeing dandelions lol. Im ready to get out there and get the hunt going this year!!!

I was in Key West for the past month visiting the folks and stopped in Calhoun Ga on the drive back… Found just over 2lbs of various stages, I’m in southern Kentucky for the night… Tomorrow I have some spots picked out around mammoth cave to check… I think we are going to be early this year based on what’s going on down here 🤞…

Go to the Kentucky page to follow the timeline. I 1st reported on the 28th that a person I know found black morels on 2/27 with a pic of the receipt attached. Later I reported additional finds with a pic attached. I’m not understanding the remark about the dates not adding up. I will be hunting my farm in the Mammoth Cave area this weekend and will report again.

2023 Morel season

Posting pics of Hollandhunter’s black morels he picked today. They’re starting to get some size! I’m jealous! Got another report from a guy in Larue county that said he found @ 20 really small ones but wasn’t going to pick them until they grew some more.
