I figured out how to stay without tracebook. So. Hopefully I'll be able to chat. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I think it's going to be a good year. Just not going to be as early as the last few. But I also think with this spring. It's going to be a longer season in central MN.

We’re headed to Iowa next week to get a jump on it & tune up the O’le Eye’s.

Bicycling and Mushrooms and Fishing, 100%. Somehow all of this coalesces at points throughout the year and I love when I can get a hot harvest that is season-specific! Morels/Ramps/Fat Crappies, White Bass, or perhaps a Walleye or Pike... AMAZING LUCK! Many partials, sometimes total fails, but I usually bring home at least one victory.

Getting close I think around here. I predict 16 more days.

Anyone here have a predictions on the season so far? How's the wernometer lookin?

I have a good feeling about this year! Soon indeed. Where I am I'm gonna have to mow this weekend, dandelions all over and lilacs soon to bloom. It's not too dry here and no extreme temp swings forecast.

Fishing opener? More like Morel Opener...either way, mothers day weekend I will start in MN. Trying my 1st attempt in Iowa the 5th-8th. Here's to hoping I spook them and they head to the north.

Well I've got wren's nested under my deck! So not sure how that relates to timing but I'm ready

I always do best when the leaves on the trees are near fully grown, I find them earlier but when the leaves are close to full there seem to be more and bigger morels that I find.

I saw a couple wrens in the front yard yesterday. Is it Old Elm that calls it the Wrenometer?

Thinking it should be go time next week! Found my first ones last year on May 10th and picked my first ones on May 12th. Hoping this year will be good, had a great season last year.
