Didn't know if I could get on this year. They want me to go through Facebook. So if it happens. It was wonderful knowing you all. And I wish you the best 🙏. Buckthornman.

I started a new genre of foraging today. Already addicted.
I really want to get into that one too! Just need to look up some advice, since I haven’t managed to ever accidentally stumble across any. Nice finds!

Solid afternoon, 100+ individually, my brother lost his glasses so I had a natural advantage! Was a bit surprised how many we found for as far north as we were. Gotta love them home slopes!!!

Went out for a bit this am, no morels which is weird, did find these oyster mushrooms, but I think they may be too far gone. Any comments or suggestions? Ok to e

I was out yesterday for an hour in a spot I would expect morels, the undergrowth was much less grown than last year when I picked several dozen by this tree. I will wait until next weekend to check again.

My advice I was given…… to scan the south and east ditches for tipped over tumble weeds. Also to look for the stalks popping up above the grass line.

I just picked a couple of dozen in open field areas with elms. It's still early in the interiors. It should be a fun time until the end of the month.

Found a couple pounds on a long walk, solid day though. Only took one picture of a cluster. Today will be wet morels if you’re out!

Tr00ter: would you mind sharing your buddy's contact info? I am relatively new to morel hunting and would love to take a guided trip. Thanks!

Yep . St Cloud.
That makes a lot of sense . My usual spots have nothing even close to blooms.
Had a short but fun run down a major hill last night with my spouse; quality not quantity, but these were the biggest yellows we've ever harvested. So much fun; heading out agian tomorrow as these were purely south facing and already full grown. going to hit all the rest of our spots hard now.......

we are still going strong up north. This has been the best season ever for me in my short morel career, feel like I’ve finally nailed the right woods and know what sections to spend time in and what to skip. Walking 13+ miles a day helps, too!
