2023 morels!

I have not been following the season what do you guys say? Are we early, mid or late season? I found all mine south facing, and not many blonds which usually indicate early for me

Pick mostly in Beltrami/Becker/Clearwater counties. I think there’s some spots that are probably still producing blacks up this way but most of the spots I’ve been to have them starting to get soft and spore out

Got ya was thinkin about going north for a day trip but maybe ill just stick around home and go for yellows and greys next year ill have to try my hand at the blacks

What is your dish that you prepared? It looks delicious.

Great looking finds all, I spent a few hours on Friday in my "spot" and only found 4. I kept thinking I was well Early/Late/ or was sniped. Now I'm thinking it just still too early, as we really haven't had much rain around here. Fingers crossed...

Sauteed them in shallot butter, added wine, then cream. Simmer while the pasta is cooking. Add a little pasta water, then parm cheese and the peas. Heart through and serve over the pasta. So damn good. I don't really use a recipe, but this one's pretty close

Ya I should probably eat more veggies but I think thats what food eats so I should be good as long as I keep eating steak right. Lol

Still Prime here with nice finds everyday. sure some are past prime but there's plenty left. I have now picked 14 days in a row. Best year in a while.
