Yes I was just thinking yesterday that I ran thru the permetherin last year. Gotta get some ordered as I keep hearing how bad the ticks are down here in Iowa this year(as early as Feb)! Yeah I dont know what all this means long term but lets Get it while we can!

Yea lol following this site does drive a person crazy with morel madness by seeing people finding morels to south of ya
Was out yesterday n had sprayed my pant legs a little bit n when was home sitting down later in evening had a tick crawling up my arm. So today got all my clothes that wear for shroom season n sprayed them down with permethrin

Getting some rain to help with the moisture. Now if we can get adequate heat, without getting too hot....we will be ON the Morels ASAP!

Careful what you ask for, we had several inches, then 80 degrees and wind here in Indy, dried out quickly, but more moisture the next couple days. Good luck.

 

With rain last few days, likely start finding morels this weekend or soon after. In meantime, guess these few patches of ramps will keep me busy.

Nice one TM’s. I’m thinking at least another 10days before we start hitting any Royal Flushes though. Been in the woods most every day & things are progressing nicely.

So far my minimum research leads me to believe that the whole of May is traditionally right in the middle of Peak Morel popping season, almost every year.🍄🍄🍄
