Anyone else feel morels will come early this yr 2023

Since last summer I noticed a lot of herbs and mushrooms bloomed earlier than normal, starting with the goldenrod. I even found a lions mane much sooner than normal~ makes me wander if morels will come early. All this rain, butter cups already sprouting here in North Alabama. Thoughts~

A reliable E TX. hunter I follow thinks if will be an early season. And I've noticed a few very early bulbs and flowering trees here in N. TX. So who knows but I'm hopeful.

Here are my earliest ever TX morels...Feb 29 (2020)

Daffodils started blooming in NE Ga. about THREE weeks ago. Three weeks early. It's felt like Spring for several days now (2/1). I bet that guy just up in Oglethorpe Co. will find them there on his property within 2 weeks of today. He's found them a couple of weeks earlier than everybody else, the last 2 or 3 years in a row. I can't remember his name, but I have a good hunch where he lives. The receipts he took his photos with are from a Quickie-Mart that I am familiar with, about 15 miles from where I live...The weather we're having right now is very typical of the way it normally feels in late March. Weird.

I would love to see daffodils right now. Ground is covered in snow in southern MI. I remember year when my crocus's were finished blooming at the end of Feb and most years they were flowering in Feb. I'll be tapping maples this weekend.

I have noticed alot of non fruiting “ fruit trees “, and tulip magnolias blooming… it does seem to be a week or two earlier than usual.. the February weather will be worthwhile to keep on eye on

MORELS WERE PHOTOGRAPHED IN TALBOT COUNTY, GA. TODAY AT 3:01 PM. (It's a county northeast, slightly, of Columbus, GA., so about the same latitude as Montgomery in AL).The photos are on FB Georgia Morel Hunters group, with an iphone time-stamp for reference beside them. I just saw it. Temps have been around 70 degrees in the past week, but damp, and I noticed in NE GA today that the early grass is long and green, so it's time now.

^That Ga. Morel FB group is private now, due to the influx of bots and spamming over the past year, a common problem with the mushroom fb groups I belong to, so you can't get into it without joining...I posted one of the guy's photos.

And so it begins… up very early. Desperately need to avoid any freezing temps or the southern range could have a rough season. Please keep this post here, the Facebook group puts too much pressure on my spots.
