@greys I only dehydrate when I have an over abundance of morels, as they are not my favorite. In my opinion, I set at 12 hours at 125 degrees. I say they can never be too dry. I vacuum seal in glass canning jars. I have some 4 years old, although I usually end up giving these away. When I have time, I usually slice in half, agitate in water, roll in flour, then place on cookie sheets and flash freeze them. I then place in freezer bags and try to get rid of most of air out of the bags prior to storage. Then simply bring out when ready to fry up. I never have them long, so I don't know how long they last in the freezer. Best wishes on your season!

I've never tried dehydrating. I slice in half and lay them on a window screen with a box fan blowing over them for a couple days. Then put the oven on warm with the door cracked for about 30min to finish them. Store in glass jar with a little desiccant packet in there. Will last for years but the never do :)

Any dehydrator with a fan is good. If the morels are not wet, a low to medium heat is fine. If they are wet, like if you rinsed them, then use high heat for maybe an hour, then lower it to low/medium. Anywhere in the 100 to 125 range is good. Run until the product is cracker-snap dry.
Laid out on paper in the back dash of a car (windows cracked open) on a sunny day is a good way to dry them too. Dried morels are awesome! Good luck!
