looking at the 10 day forecast, we could see an early bloom. March 17 18 looks like a good starting point

Wait until the bushes and shrubs and small plants start to grow leaves and possibly trees. The flora needs to be active too for it to happen. I've seen warm ups before and the plants didnt respond and morels didnt show up until plants started growing and there were leaves starting.
It has something to do with the duration of sunlight exposure for the plants too.
Something the plants do signals to the morels that the season has officially changed.

Its just like that grow situation where 12/12 causes plants to go into a flowering stage
And 24/0 or 16/8 keeps plants in a vegetative stage.

Those vegetative flowering times sound like the growing of something else.....

Had a little rain today in southern Ks. Went hunting a little but know it's early. Since they come up in our yard once in awhile it doesn't take a lot of effort to go look.

We had some rain here around bighill. SE Kansas.
The ground temp is only around 50, and ideally it needs to be 56-58
