Yes, it's from a Game Cam. I don't know for sure cause it's still out there, but I think it's a Bushnell Cam.

JMerx sorry to hear it but I guess I'm glad it's not just me. I've checked all my spots, as recently as Monday, and nothing yet, except one very yellow chicken of the woods that was way up (12-15) in a tree and I had to use a fallen limb to knock it down.

I found a lot of paw paws this year the first couple weeks of September, but for some reason they were bitter.

Ok so I went a checked some more spots out this weekend and old hens is all I found! I think the hens that r going to pop did in the first 2 weeks of September and dried up quick!

Morelcommander found this beautiful chicken of the woods(when I told him where to look lol) last week growing on a dead ash stump. Also found fresh oysters yesterday up here in northern IN.

I think you might be right. I might go and check a couple spots today but I found one or two dried hens from early Sep and that's it. Let me know if you find anything.

Someone sent me a picture of the mushroom above to identify. Does reishi grow in clusters like this?

I would say yes, appears to be growing off a root. It's definitely a Ganoderma.
My Mushroom Season has come to a halt, woke up to this, this morning...... IMG_20171031_083700.jpg

Hey folks! I hope someone can help me. I found one heck of a Hen tree, I think, but I've never seen them look like this. I did pick one and left two that seemed old less than a week ago. Now there's these that have come up. I know they only came up this week...since last Thurs. I've just never seen them look so... lumpy and fused? They almost seem solid. The first one I picked was a bit like this, but not so thick. Is this a normal variation? the biggest one is about the size of a nerf football right now, the smaller the size of a softball, not very large at all. 20171107_130006.jpg 20171107_130029.jpg
