I have a spot in a park I go to. The quickest way to get to it is to pull yourself up by the trees growing from a steep hill. I don't usually find a whole lot, which is fine, I'm the only one in my family who eats them. But just once, I would love to arrive at my spot and have the ground littered with them. I have a cousin who goes out and brings in huge loads every year. I tried to get him to let me tag along. But we all know how that goes. I tell him I only need a few, but it's the thrill of the hunt I enjoy the most.

Tomorrow Wednesday is going to be in the seventies and if I can find a clear enough patch from the rain I'm going to try Cedar County

I didn't have any luck the other day, so I am going to try again this afternoon.

Just starting south of Des Moines. Most are small. Honey hole never lets us down early
