Sounds like your season is a bit lat this year too In Mich we are finding the beginning of the black morels With the warmer weather I expect the whites to start maybe in 10 days

I have been looking here ( SW WI ) for a week now with no luck but I think they will be up soon.

As to freeflow581's comment ... last year I was finding old dried ones April 1st and the year before that was the 2nd week
of April in the same spot... It is def a late year here. I did find some elephant ears though and the blood root is just starting to come up along with the mayflowers. I am going out again today I will post if I find any.

Could pop anytime now, we've been out daily to the favorite spots and no luck yet. Surprised how dry our woods are after the snow last week. Maybe rain here tonite & tomorrow will do it. One thing for sure nobody's missed them yet,cause they just aren't out.

OK...I hit my last season spots...and found teeny tiny pea size fresh 1 -2 day old greys popping up. Some were broken by tree debris from today's wind....but I do declare the morel season in green bay area is open...
