Not sure were you live but elm and ash trees are the go to in the midwest but that all depends on were you live other parts of the usa are a little different if your in the sothern states tulip poplar hicory and cedar can also produce if your in the western states try finding some maps of recent burn areas and walk them you will have to wait until spring time though because thats when they grow
