Old Picker, man those sound good. I prefer to work for my food though. Did you get those north or south of Omaha? I live down in Mo. and need to make my annual trip north. I love driving/hiking in the hills almost as much as picking morels. At 55 I am slowing down a little, but can't stop yet. You must have a great spot some where. Most I have spoken with are crying the blues so far up north. Great Job! And a fair price to! Any folks that need to buy some are getting a deal at that price. Plus you cut the tax man even better. I don't really mind the buyers, as long as they deal fair. Some do, some don't. Any infor. you feel you can share is much needed by another old picker.

Old Picker, Twisted One, Shroomwinkle & Deadbugdug, I look forward to all your posts & feel that a bretheren spirit exists between us all! It is like the mycelium that reaches her arms out from morel to morel! My only regret is that you & I miss all the morels that go unharvested every year! May your paths be unencumbered & the way be true!

Shroomani thank you. my hats is off to you and the others that you mentioned in this thread... its funny that just the last two weekends that we have hunted... you know that sticky spot when you seem to not find any when all the conditions are right.. it was you to whom i called upon to feel your spirit and guide me and the ones i carry with... i say to myself what would Shroomani do... and its honestly not long there after that we find a nest... Thanx for the great vibes you share and the many insights too... were in omaha and have traveled from St Jo and every public lands from there on up along the MO river i can only guess where you might be but half way between you and i shrooms were being found for the last two weekends on the rivers woods... my travels will span towards 5 ridges where ill call it quits... but the last 4 yrs we have been to indian caves and held the same camp spot where we found morel in the high points of hills and on the memorial weekend... i still have some hunting left in theses bones and we definately know how mycelium runs.
May you be blessed with each step you take... Peace

twisted ones, Still out enjoying the wilds I see. I had a great day last Fri. north of Mo. Valley in Iowa. Any ideas on how far north I need to get this Sat? I live down in St. Joe, next year give me a shout out on the conditions down this way when you want to come. I'm always on the Mo. board. If you can share any info. it will be returned and much appreciated. I noticed you mentioned 5 ridges. Thought they quit letting people pick anything in there recently.

ive never been that far north so that one ill have to check in... ahh yeah next year ill try and see you here or over at the Mo Board... I bagged morel at desoto 3weeks ago and it was closed this past weekend so there might be a shot there also there is a lake on the eastern side of the park called Nobels lake... heading north we skipped a place called Tyson Island where we had plenty the year before continueing north we went to deer island and hit that park the last 2... we tryed the hills south of little sioux trail 165 with no luck... a friend of mine shot a text with pics of morel he said he found between cresent and underwood... so Hcock might be our heading i know its funny to backtrack a way but it might be whats in order at least for us and hills where we never had success other then indian caves... good luck and hope this helps...
