Cold don't stop em dry spells don't either people just think they do and miss lots. Special micro climates are everywhere and the shrooms will be there. Once the fuse is lit you should assume the worst and hope for the best 😎

Nice, got me hungry for some breakfast with some morels. True statements, won't know if don't go. Plus just cause lil cool n they have started growing they are still growing. Couldn't tell ya how many mornings have been out n was 40-50 degrees n by afternoon in a t-shirt, but found them all day!

I have to agree with some of the last few posts! Despite the many freeze nights this past week, I saw sizeable growth and loads of new ones at a spot in Rockdale county. Hauled about 40 today

True us Northerners are used to a little bit if frostbite on them almost every year it seems. We also get lucky and find them in snow once in a while Lol. But those are looking sooo delicious!!! Can't wait until late April early may here if everything works out otherwise middle of May Lol

Here in KC the hardest part is dealing with all of the other hunters. Every time I find a spot that another crew has just hit I usually will find a decent amount of morels that got missed. We focus on timing and stealthy routes to succeed. If you run into us in the woods its cuz we done huntin. Haven't even seen another hunter with shrooms in the bag in about 4 years now. Ppl are lazy and scared to get dirty out here.

Had a work trip. I’m a mechanic/supervisor at a textile factory in Georgia and my company sent us to visit their factories over there. Was definitely an experience.
