Good pick today. Maybe slowing down. Should know for sure by next weekend as we have plenty of rain in the forecast.
I usually wait for them to come to me. However, I'll be busy this year because I have a list of new places to scout out in my search for my first local black morel. Tomorrow I'll be taking a drive to see if a big grove of beech trees that I used to know is still there. I've been given to understand that you can sometimes find blacks in beech groves. Tulip poplars seem to be something of a rarity around here. I find one here, a couple there, but no real stands of them, so I'll be keeping an eye out for those as well. I haven't been to that area in quite some time.@shroomsearcher will you be traveling south to hunt early..or gonna just wait for them to come to You?
