Got a question for all the pros out there....so yesterday I found a bunch of small grays about an inch tall and I left them to grow bigger...how many days does it usually take for morels that size to grow to a desired picking size(like 3-4 inches)????? I know it's all about the weather but where I found them has had great rain and temps the next couple days are gunna be in the upper fiftys

We ran into some small greys Friday and let them grow till today. They got a little bigger over the 3 4 days but when u see them greys look carefully all around they're small but under the leaves everywhere ....good luck

Sometimes they grow more and sometimes they don't. Sometimes if you leave them someone else picks them or you forget where you left them. 
I pick them if they're big enough to cook and eat.
I found a bunch of small ones today 1.5 inch or so and some smaller ones. Then turned the corner and found about 5 perfect 4-5 inchers (obviously from the same flush).
In summary, nobody really knows why they do what they do.
