The news is not good.
Just came back from checking, expecting sibling morels after that first ONE April 30th -- nada. Nothing showing.
Still hanging on to hope, though. Like I said, in past years this plant would produce a dozen or so in more-or-less a line (probably following a root into a moist, well lit (even at night) area up against a building. It's a tiny spot with moss and loads of dandilion plants. I reckon the night light (for the scientist in you) may have some influence. there are at least two other similar (same) plants nearby, always without mushrooms, and also without the constant moisture/night light (i.e.light 24/7).
Then of course there is always the possibility that one's morels have been STOLEN! by someone taking notice of your/my careful observation of the ground.
What's a funophile to do.....

Just wanted to add.....here at this spot, though sheltered by the sun by the building itself which here faces north, there's little doubt that heat off the building has alot to do with the timing of the fruiting.
