Morels are hard to find in Maine, I live in Central Maine, Livermore area and am obsessed with foraging, especially but certainly not limited to mushrooms. I find every type of mushroom I look for except for Morels. I do find false Morels but never an edible one or one which is gone by or wormy. I would recognize one and do know where one should look. I have spent enough time looking and I start looking early, end late every year. My understanding is that the area is too acidic due to acid rain and high PH in Maine. I need to find Morels bad please help.....

Did you manage to find any morels? I'm from the Brunswick area and am currently searching. Tulips have started coming up in a few places, I found a bunch of skunk cabbage, and Im stating to see possibly ramps poping up in other places but its hard to tell at this point.
