Just moved here recently and I'm looking to establish some spots. Is there anyone nearby who knows or wants to explore this area with me? right on the border of Bedford and Amherst county.

I am about 3 hrs north of you in Rappahannock Co. . A bit far for a day trip .
It may still be a bit quiet on this forum, but it will wake up in late March .
