My wife and I are brand new to morel foraging. We spent a few hours today in williamson county looking, but had no luck. We do not know the area well enough to know where to start. We would love to join a group with better knowledge of the area! I know morel spots are guarded secrets, so I'm not sure what kind of luck I will have lol

I went for the first time yesterday. I found a few. I’m not sure what to do with them now. I would love to learn more as well; hunting was so much fun.

There are some fantastic tips on preparing them, as well as recipes on the internet. You sure did better than I did as far as first tries go!

Good job there and everything you’re off to a good start, be sure to tuck all those bits of new info away in your memory for future reference.
