Nice I haven't found any this year yet
Dad gum. I’m losing on both fronts. Are you willing to share any parameters as to where you found them? Hills, creek bottom, south slopes, tree types, etc.? After today and yesterday my smugness from Wednesday has faltered.
By the way, that one in the lower right hand corner is a beaut.
For the expert mushroom hunter only...and I ain’t one.
The 2 on ether side of the knife r the biggest. So I'm finding them around Sullivan and they were in the creek bottom most on ash trees some on an elm the small ones were on an oak tree I think.
That's were I found the tics anyway I'm not saying nothing about the morels lol
They were out today in west St Louis county, all found around creek beds, 130 total. Great start to the weekend!
No that wasn't me, but its all good.
Are you looking in Meremac State Park?
Nobut it's not far from there
Nice haul . Hope I come across a bunch today.
couple more pics from yesterday
Oh man those look good! I made a morel pizza last night with homemade crust, yum
Thanks for the info! They are staying where they are anyway!
Heck, I got my wires crossed. I didn’t make the connection that the mushroom photo you posted was the one that got the whole conversation started. The names dem and demyx are close enough that I kept thinking different posts were coming from the same poster. If it seemed I was talking in circles, that’s why.
It is an intriguing find and there is a species of Psilocybe that is similar to the one in your photo.
Found 5 Half free today in Callaway co. Do not tell my boss I was at work.
Whish I would have had more time today but I still think I did ok.
Today’s finds. Nothing outstanding, but I’ll take it.
I thought of your post when I was out today:
A little spoonbill to go with our fried shrooms
