Just moved here from CA. Can you find morels here, if so when,
or do I have to take a plane trip back to CA in April?

Not sure about Florida, but Georgia and Tenn has a fairly acitive site. I believe there maybe morels in Florida, but they may not be plentiful.

Morels grow in all 50 states Hawaii up in the mountains, Flordia couldn't tell ya but odds are would be in the northern section.

 

I live in Ga and have no history in Fl. However, i have heard n. fl near the ga boarder you will have your bst luck to therm in fl. Also, I would be looking right now!

 

I've heard second hand reports of some peole finding morels in an area in the panhandle called the Ravines.

 

True or not it gets folks excited.

 

My buddy found a bunch growing on his 700ac property in SWFL Sarasota Area... They were in the woods turkey hunting when they found them and got it on video!!!
