Hello everyone i am new to picking and this my first year in middle tn.
I have been out 3 times and yesterday was my best picking yet. I found some that were 7 inches tall and about 25 blacks.
Is there a rule of thumb on how long these shrooms will keep coming up. My neighbor says they will only be out for about a week and then it is done for the year. Everything I am reading says they could keep coming out for a month or so.
Thanks for any help, my whole family is enjoying the snacks and I want to learn a bit more about the growing season to increase my success.

Usually the season last 3 weeks and we're in the middle of the season now.

Thanks, I have been out 2 more times with no success, But we haven't had any rain for a week either.
I will figure it out soon enough.
