I was wondering the same thing. I'm from Michigan and new to the clarksville area. These warm nights and rain have to really be speeding up the waiting period. Might be worth a look this weekend on some higher grounds, south sides of hills I've always been told warm up the fastest

Thanks Dan.I'll hit the hills Saturday morning .They did the logging about two years ago.Do you think that's long enough for the stumps and tops that were left to produce anything.?? From reading I gather this is time for morels. What about oysters, hens, chickens or chanterelles?? Any info is greatly appreciated....Thanks B

I can't say specifically but my two cents I would be more concerned with what trees were there... I would think if they were there before they logged it nothing would stop them from coming back. I've been keeping an eye on the soil temp maps and what states they are just starting in. Looks like guys have been picking pretty good in Georgia all week so it has to be real close

im not from that area but ive been keeping tabs on everything south of me (st louis) ... I'd be willing to bet you guys are REALLY close to seeing some real action if you're not already

this early your best bet is going to be right on the river banks. south facing river banks.
