Had some issues last year I had to tend to and got away from the board but I hope to join in this year. What little I did last year was not very good a lot of the flood plains I search were flooded. hopefully this year is not quite so wet. Been getting shitakes at odd times off my logs, let's hope the weather hasn't affected the morels. They might be out there right now! Gotta go....

Welcome back. What flood plains ( state) are you referring to here. Had same troubles here in W.Nebraska/ E.Iowa last year. Praying we reap the rewards of prior year flooding this year. Praying no flooding this year. Estimating first finds around mid April in my area this year . Best of luck to ya!

I'm in the piedmont section of eastern Georgia. I find my morels near creeks that flood their banks periodically, mostly on Clark Hill Lake.
