Just confirming the morels north of DFW are now fruiting. Normally I find them on April 1 on my property, I found them a few days early this year. Better harvest than last year so far. Probably found 30 today. I left some of the smaller ones to see if they will get bigger. Mostly greys. A nice cluster of bigger Golden’s found but still in the ground.

The fruiting continues. Southern Grayson and northern Collin counties. Finding them in a stand of old decaying and young elms and ash. Moist but not wet area.

Great news. Maybe the season isn't over here quite yet. Tarrant County here.

Found 86 on March 25, another 252 on March 30, then only 60 yesterday. Much better than 99 total last year.
