Hello everyone! This is my first time in here this year! This is the latest I have logged onto the site in probably close to 20 years. I am going to go on my first morel hunt probably tomorrow and I will let everyone know how it goes. I have got really busy with my YouTube channel this past year! I may not have as much time on the message board. I was just wondering if it was starting to get warm enough. I'm in Tulsa county and it looks like our 4 inch soil temp is right around 50 degrees. Which county/region are you thinking about hunting in tomorrow? Looks like the soil has hit 55 down south.

Probably Pontotoc or a nearby county. I am ready. I’ve been inside all winter!

That’s a good thing. A gradual soil warm up means a longer season in my experience. A sudden hot spell creates a big flush, but then a rapid collapse as soil temps rise above the threshold to allow pinning.

Temp is still bouncing around but should be popping within a week or so for the okies.
