i don't think those are black morels. they look like they are overripe yellows beginning to rot. Did you smell them? the sun and moisture gets to them after about 5-7 days. Blacks are pretty rare in E. Neb. the others appear to have been there a bit, but looked ok. Nice find this late.

Yep they were blacks, found around 5 more pounds yesterday, only 3 blacks yesterday...all others were Yellers.
