Considering the rain we had last Sunday, and the warmer temps this week (40s-60s climbing to 70s on Sat and Sun), does anyone think we will have morels by Sunday? I was going to take some friends out for a hunt, but am nervous that its still too cold.

I figure I'll probably go out this weekend and at least look for some spots with good potential.

I learned about Morels about a month ago and have been trying to find some ever since. I spent some time last weekend, and 3 hours today roaming around the Hollofield area of Patapsco State Park. I'm not sure if they either aren't out yet, or I'm just really bad at this (likely both) but I haven't seen anything remotely like a morel yet! I understand good hunting grounds are closely held secrets but if anyone doesn't mind showing a newbie the ropes I'd be very appreciative! Looking forward to making my wife something for dinner I know she's never had!
