First oysters of 2020 plus first of year yellow morels - area was at 26 degrees 48-hours ago.
9.5 pounds aspen oyster mushrooms plus a few bonus black morels today 5850'-6250' elevation. Many downed trees from Saturday's storm where reports of 80 mph straight line winds were parallel to the Wyoming border. USFS still clearing trails.
Found probably around 3-4 pounds of oysters in the northern hills two weeks ago, but recently we’ve just run across tons of old or dry mushrooms. Hopefully next year we’ll get more rain up in the northern hills and I’ll be more aware of what to look for.
