Has anyone seen anything yet? Heading up from Florida this weekend, hoping to get back to some hunting.
Hey Betsy! My spots in VT are just beginning to show signs of morel. Spring arrived late and l think the morel are a bit behind as well. Other edibles, like ramps, seem right on time. I have a buddy that found 10 the other day so l think they're about to show.

I don't know that the morels are late, things seem to be right on schedule, but the lack of recent rain is having an effect. Yesterday I first went to a low elevation spot and found yellows, but many are stunted and dry like they just came out of a dehydrator, and most are OK but showing signs of starting to dry. I then went to a new spot at 1300 elevation in a shady hollow and found a clump of 6 yellows in perfect condition, only one had cleared the leaves until I brushed them aside.
