I am adding Wisconsin to my annual spring wild turkey, morel, and ramp trip this upcoming spring. I start in Al, then to SC then to OH, then to Indiana and usually back home to Wyoming.
I’ve got the timing figured out to put me in Ohio and Indiana when I can kill a Turkey and pretty much count on morels being right…unless weather really screws me up.

I’ll be hunting in zone 1 or SW Wisconsin this yearin either the first or second week of May.

Is that going to be too late for a “typical weather” morel flush? I know it all depends on weather, but I’m trying to figure out which week to apply for to maximize the chances of hitting it right.

Thanks in advance.

Yes ssrhythm,
The first and second week are usually a great time for morels in southern WI. Unfortunately we are having a drought so we had no morels in 2020.
Your spring foraging travels sound wonderful. Good luck!!
