I looked for a post already started but couldn’t find any so here it is.
They should be starting here in PA somewhere. Post them when you find them! Good luck!

Heck, you're finding blacks! Something I've never done! Just be happy. I've thought of a spot to check tomorrow that I've never checked before. It's a south facing slope above a creek bottom. I've also never found a morel as early as this where I am, NE Ohio. I also know that I've never gotten out early enough to find them. This will be my first shot.

You need to go back to those spots again! I found my very first morels in my second year of hunting, and I checked that elm tree 5 times to find about 2 dozen morels under it. If you find a morel, it mean there is a mycelium in the ground there, and you may have just found an odd, early flusher. If you were late you would probably find old, soggy or dried out rotten ones in the same areas.
